James Swinton & Company Limited have recently finished, and are currently working on several large refurbishment contracts on social housing schemes throughout the Scottish Borders and Berwickshire. These contracts focus on upgrading the houses and replacing the windows, doors, bathrooms, kitchens and generally improving the houses within these schemes. Allowing us to directly contribute towards the regeneration of the region by improving the appearance of these houses and the standard of living for the tenants within them.

The works comprised the replacement of kitchens, bathrooms, windows, external doors, the provision of new showers, partial re-wiring and the redecoration of affected areas. As the tenants of the the properties were not decanted while the work was being carried out, we had to provide temporary cooking facilities and ensure an uninterrupted water supply at all times.
Eyemouth/Cockburnspath

The works involved stripping out and renewing kitchens and bathrooms, renewing the incoming water and electric mains supplies and upgrading the hot water cylinders. The tenants were not decanted whilst the work was being carried out and as in The Hawick Contract, we had to provide temporary cooking facilities and insure a water supply at all times.
